The Cadillac XTS appeared for the 2013 model year. Since MY 2014 the XTS has been offered with a 3.6L twin turbo V6 engine making 410 hp and 369 lb-ft. In regards to the XTS trim levels, this engine has been exclusive to the $63,000 V-Sport trim and the $72,000 V-Sport Platinum trims, both of which include AWD as standard of course. I point this out because much like the ELR these cars can already be found for 50% of their original MSRP.

Now don’t think this thing is a sports sedan! It’s simply a big ass AWD sedan with a trunk large enough to easily take on 4 sets of golf bags, and is rated at 16/24 mpg. Your 0-60 mph time wont’t break into the 4 second range though, well not with the stock 12 psi of intercooled boost.

* Note: This version of the 3.6T is the LF3, like what’s in the CTS V-Sport. Do not expect it to respond like the 18 psi running LF4 you get in the ATS-V.

Just thought I’d point this out since these cars were only purchased by wealthy retirees. Thus the conditions are showroom level, maintenance done, mileage low, and half the value before the leases even ended. I’m not saying to go out and buy a 2014 XTS V-Sport for $35,000 today! I’m just saying if you wanted a plush vehicle to run clients/adult family members around in, these will probably settle around the $25k while the non-turbo versions will continue to fall and fall...and fall.

*Edit: It just occurred to me that the XT5 will be the replacement for this vehicle (excluding the coachbuilder series) rather than the CT6. Same weight and basic pricing even. Guess you have all the stats and pricing for the XT5 V-Sport ready to go!

Kinja'd!!!

Didn’t know this existed, most likely because it’s just a set of (rather nice) wheels externally.

I know! I’m lucky enough to have interests that are the opposite of enthusiasts. These things are unbelievably stealthy. Not only do enthusiast not realize these have AWD, they also don’t realize they come with a TTV6 stock, and they would never suspect you to tune it since why would there be an XTS aftermarket? (Answer being to utilize the CTS aftermarket).

I saw one of these in traffic this past weekend when we were in Florida and before that, I had genuinely forgotten they existed.
